475 days of relentless effort came to an end

New York, USA – 28 April 2025 – The Transglobal Car Expedition has officially concluded its historic mission, marking the completion of the world’s first overland and maritime crossing through both the Geographic North and South Poles in a single, continuous journey by vehicle. The expedition lasted 475 days, covering over 92,500 kilometres, traversing five continents, sailing through five oceans, and passing through 42 countries.

Led by expedition leader ****Vasily Shakhnovskiy, the Transglobal Car Expedition brought together over 40 experts and contributors — including explorers, scientists, engineers, navigators, filmmakers, and local collaborators. Each played a vital role in ensuring the success, safety, and impact of this unprecedented adventure.

Designed as a bold test of endurance, collaboration, and technological innovation, the expedition aimed not only to break records, but also to contribute meaningfully to scientific knowledge, public awareness around climate change, and the broader field of geographical exploration.

Throughout the journey, the team collected environmental data, engaged with indigenous communities, and documented the evolving conditions of remote natural environments affected by climate change.
