He has hosted and produced television shows about cars and auto events since 2004, focusing on story-telling in the field, including Top Gear USA on History, and other shows on Discovery and Netflix.
His last trip to the Arctic was in 2016 when he competed in the ALCAN5000 rally and continued to Tuktoyaktuk in the last year before the connecting road was built. He grew up in Edmonton, Canada, and thought he had escaped the cold by moving to Los Angeles.
