Finally, the days of waiting are over. Two ships arrived at the port - the Argus from Namibia and a vessel from Mauritius. So for the next day, we planned to load the Arctic Trucks Ford Expeditions onto the Argus to leapfrog to the South American stage, while the Arctic Trucks team was set to prepare the big 6x6 AT44” for Antarctica. However, the loading of the vehicles for South America was delayed by paperwork. Finally, we loaded the Expeditions and AT39 F150 for South America. Everything went smoothly, except that while the crew was securing the vehicle on board, a valve stem broke on one of the wheels. We had to change the wheel right on board. In two and a half months while we cross Antarctica with the big trucks, we will meet the Ford Expeditions again, but this time in Punta Arenas.
