Diary

March 22–24, 2024

We received supplies, fuel, and food drop at the coordinates of eighty-three and a half degrees north. This drop allows us to have the fuel range to make it to the North Pole. These days the team faced high winds and many recently broken ice leads, so the goal was to find a solid ice route.

Now we got to 85 degrees North! But a driveline repair saw us lose three hours, while high winds and tides from a full moon were pulling the ice apart, so we stopped for the overnight.
