Day 417 marked the final day for our vehicles in South America. We took the cars to the port of Cartagena early in the morning for processing and loading onto a ship to Panama. Customs clearance was quick, and we spent the rest of the day relaxing after the exhausting travel.
Day 418 began early as we left for the port at 7 AM for a thorough drug inspection of our vehicles, which included checking bags, inspecting spare parts, and releasing tire air. The afternoon was spent exploring Cartagena, where the team enjoyed both the modern and historical areas.
Day 419 was our first full day of leisure without early wake-ups. Everyone pursued their own activities—some strolled by the sea, others relaxed in cafes, and some explored shopping malls. In the heat, staying in air-conditioned places was a priority, and we all took time to unwind.
On Day 420, our last day in Cartagena, the cars were set to be loaded, and the team continued exploring the city. We enjoyed the friendliness of the locals and the vibrant street vendors selling colorful straw hats and national souvenirs.
