Diary

March 18–19, 2024

Over the 82-degree North mark with about 90km (!) to the pole achieved on March 18th. We can’t get comfortable thinking this could be the pace - we’ve been lucky with weather, ice, and good satellite images.

But the following day reminded us that it can be more difficult! Poor visibility in the morning and more pressure ridges meant for slower progress, although in the end, we once again made about 50km toward the Pole. We are now further north than any community in the world!
