Day 194 started with us leaving France and heading to Belgium. Our first stop was Bruges, a city that was the center of European trade 400 years ago. It’s a very old town filled with street musicians playing everywhere. A must-do here is tasting some of the best chocolate in the world, and we also tried the famous Belgian beer.
The next day, we traveled to Antwerp, which is 100 km from Bruges. This city has a completely different vibe. You can see a lot of modern buildings alongside historical ones. Everyone in the city rides bicycles and scooters.
The main attractions in Antwerp are its port and diamonds. The port is the second largest in Europe, stretching 14 km. More than 84% of rough diamonds and over 50% of processed diamonds in the world pass through Antwerp. Overall, it’s an interesting city with a rich history.
