Last day started out poorly with whiteout conditions and snow and a VERY warm -17C! By midday it was up to -12C. Too warm. But our new satellite maps came through midday and we made our way and found a good route over the wide open lead.
Then the weather broke and we had a very successful afternoon, using the maps and weather to our advantage, and making approximately 30km towards the Pole, which is terrific for a half day. Let’s hope this pace continues!
